like sleep
ummm...stuff...

1.03.2004

Hey! It's only one day til I go back! When did that happen? All the stuff I was going to accomplish over break...actually I did accomplish it. Because all I wanted to do was rest and make the movie. Cool. I played around with some house shirt designs, but I don't really have enough good face shots right now to go that route. I'm defragging my computer for the first time in 3 years, I never realized it took so long (it's been going about 6 hours now). Tomorrow is most exciting, as I get to play part of a Brahms piano, violin, and french horn trio in church with two friends. They go to Eastman and Julliard (in case you don't know, probably the top 2 conservatories in the US, out in NY) so you can imagine the quality. With one hour of practice we had something together that will be better than anything in the chamber music festival at goshen this spring (I had to practice for several weeks, but they were sight reading). So I'm pumped about that. Brett, we need to get an ex-K1 flash mob together in the first few days and play hall ball or something. I mentioned this to Landon already. Happy Birthday Phil, and I'll see you all tomorrow, unless I don't.
happy birthday to me!!!
i thought about getting trashed...by myself...here at home...mabye up in my room, or in the basement, and then typing a BLOG. but that would be too much. so here is what it might look like.

WELL, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU, PHILIP. FOR YOUR GIFT, I OWE YOU AT LEAST THREE CLEANINGS OF OUR ROOM. SO CALL ME OUT ON THAT WHEN IT SEEMS MOST NEEDED.

1.01.2004

hmmm...making new year's resolutions for other people...great idea...to bad only brett, danny, and phil use this thing...but anyway they can be published later

personally I plan on visiting people from K1 last year more often, studying for the MCAT, singing more and louder, and leading the LaMonsters in rebounding.

Adam...will keep doing The Move
Alyssa...will stop denying the true nature of Miracle Camp
Angela...will visit the Yoder bathrooms
Danny...will learn to cook...more than just cold ham sandwiches
Emily...will play in the orchestra
Mark...will cuban dance on the wall more
Martha...will take a nice vacation somewhere...
Melisa...will bodyslam Adam (i know you can do it)
Phil...will keep our room clean
Rachel...will whip somebody else into doing the dishes
Steve C. Schrock...will keep up the shifty eyes and cat-like paranoia all while playing computer in his Undies
so guess what song i've had stuck in my head the last few days? it's my generation...da da na da na na na - that one song from dance dance revolution! i'm determined to get a job this semester. so maybe i will save up and buy myself the necessary dance equipment.
i still think we should try to do the kick off thing.

my birthday is tomorrow! what up! 21 at last!

as far as my resolutions...
- I will make exercise a part of my schedule
- I will practice my voice a whole lot more than i did last semester
- I will spend time with friends outside of east hall
- Adam will try to resolve some of his digestive malfunction issues
- Those of us without special friends will find people to go on dates with.

that's a good list for starters
It's 2004. And that means only one thing...resolutions! I have never made any before, but this year I feel like I should for some strange reason. And so I share some with you, that you might hold me accountable.
- I will listen to more music, especially of the classical variety, especially right before bed.
- I will not become stressed out or complain about how busy I am.
- I will turn myself into a 'buff dawg.'
- I will seriously annoy all of my friends at some point (perhaps by not doing my chores until...oh wait, that already happens).

And so you all don't feel left out, I will also attempt to make resolutions that all of you easthallers need to observe in the coming year. Feel free to contribute to anyone's list, including my own.

Adam...will grow some sort of sharp-looking facial hair adornment.
Alyssa...will figure out just exactly what 'walrus' means.
Angela...will not run away from Goshen just because it 'doesn't offer my major.'
Brett...will clean his room once a week, including a complete dusting and sweeping.
Emily...this is getting hard, I need help.
Mark...will actually spend regular time with his fiancee.
Martha...will not get overexcited by a flashing box, no matter how pretty.
Melisa...will bake more cookies for us.
Phil...will grow some balls and participate in some sneaky activity late at night.
Rachel...will take the high road and refuse to accept leftovers from Susie.
Steve...will not sit bolt upright in bed at every noise during the night.

Whew. It's late.
